The 41st international Middle East Electricity 2016 exhibition took place in Dubai (UAE) from 1 to 4 March 2016. The event was focused on the current issues and developments in the energy sector.
The event was attended by over 1500 international companies from 56 countries. GlobeCore GmbH never passes an opportunity to demonstrate our developments and exchange experience with our colleagues. This time, the specialists from our South African division demonstrated oil regeneration technology with a laboratory scale version of the UVR unit. The attendees were quite satisfied with the results.
This year, Middle East Electricity 2016 was held along with the Solar Middle East 2016 event. The latter was focused on a very promising developmetn for the Middle East nations, that is, solar power. Construction of solar power plants in Morocco, India and Egypt became a great starting point for discussing this experience and the prospects of using it in other countries.
On the second date of the event, it was visited by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister. The high visitor pointed out the success of the giant solar power plants commissioned in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 2013, and expressed hope that the share of solar power generation will grow worldwide.
The Middle East Electricity 2016 event showed that most countries have a good potential in electric power generation, environmental safety and natural resources preservation.
